Cost Management

ISIS has been designed to streamline warehousing operations by providing better utilisation of your available storage and human resources.

The system's Audit Trail facility enables you to capture and analyse the performance - and subsequent costs - of activities within the warehouse. A number of areas typically reported on and assessed include :

  • Forklift utilisation
  • Load optimisation
  • Operator productivity

These measures provide quantitative information relating to warehouse operations and highlight those areas that are performing below pre-defined standards.

Inventory Accuracy and Management

ISIS accurately traces all stock movements within the warehouse, from the time it's received to the time its despatched and every step in between. By providing detailed stock holding information such as location/product class/ brand etc there can be complete visibility of all inventory within a warehouse at any one time.

Depending on your user defined choice, you can select the best option for your stock to be managed, such as FIFO (First In First Out), LIFO (Last In First Out), by expiration date, by batch number, by serial number etc.

ISIS also enables you to generate labour efficiencies and improve space utilisation supporting batch and wave picking methods, as well as providing crossdocking functionality (crossdocking functionality relates to ISIS enterprise and ISIS 3pl only). By matching stock to the most appropriate location, ISIS minimises dead space in the warehouse.

Order Turnaround and Lead Time Control

ISIS allows you to prioritise work according to the urgency of orders to minimise lead times and improve customer service levels. It also allows you to view all outstanding tasks, in real time, and allocate warehouse resources accordingly. This ensures that all orders are picked and despatched prior to critical cut-off times

Fill Rates

ISIS allows you to slot products according to their velocity (ie faster movers at the front of the warehouse and slower movers at the back of the warehouse) and therefore reduces 'dead travel time'. It also provides the potential for increased order fulfillment rates.

Real Time Processing

ISIS processes all work in real time, in a priority sequence, ensuring all tasks are processed at optimum efficiency. It also handles exceptions as they occur according to user-definable rules.

By harnessing Radio Frequency (RF) technology, you can monitor all warehousing operations in real time as well as improving stock accuracy (99.9%), traceability and accountability of warehouse staff.

Although many ISIS users have elected to invest in radio frequency technology, ISIS can operate in either an RF or paper-based environment, or a combination of both.

Automated Cycle Counting

Cycle counting is handled by the system on a periodical basis, either by client, product or zone, negating the need for expensive warehouse closures in order to perform regular stocktakes.

Flexibility

Individual warehouse operations, customers or products can be set up to operate in a different manner if required. Rules are user definable and can therefore be altered to support changes in your operation or to support new clients.

In the case of ISIS enterprise and ISIS 3pl, the most complex and demanding warehousing requirements can be matched with system functionality. We tailor these systems to meet your specific needs and back it up with 24x7 system support.
