Technology: RF

Many organisations when implementing a Warehouse Management System, invest in Radio Frequency (RF) technology to facilitate real time interaction between the WMS and its users. The overriding advantages of harnessing RF technology include:

  • Increased accuracy of picking, putaway and total stock holding (> 99.9% accuracy in most cases),
  • Having employee instructions (pick/putaway/dispatch etc) received and returned in real time,
  • Fast, efficient and accurate flow of Information, and,
  • Quick and detailed reporting.

In order to obtain these and many other advantages, the Warehouse Management System needs to send and receive information via Radio Frequency Data Terminals.

ISIS WMS has been designed so that it is fully RF hardware independent. This gives our users the option to source their hardware from any supplier. Furthermore, in the case where a client already has RF hardware, this can normally be redeployed for use with the ISIS WMS to reduce implementation expense.

Microlistics has formed alliances with the industry's leading hardware vendors, so we are able to procure all required hardware on behalf of our clients at competitive rates.

We also provide our clients with the option of managing their hardware support and maintenance contracts to reduce administrative costs and minimize downtime.
